Westerville is the garden walk side of my week. Many of the people I see from here come in after a morning at Inniswood Metro Gardens on Hempstead Road, a walk along the Alum Creek trail, time at Alum Creek Park North on Main Street, or a stroll through Uptown Westerville. If your skin spends that much time outdoors, in sun and wind and changing Ohio weather, you do not need to drive across Columbus for a chemical peel. Elite Peels is a short trip from Westerville, and a peel here starts with what your skin deals with daily: sun, outdoor air, and time on trails and garden paths.
A chemical peel is a solution applied to the skin that loosens the dull, dead layer on the surface so fresher skin can show through. It is a controlled exfoliation, chosen for your skin, not a one-size treatment. I wrote a full guide to what a peel is, what it costs, and how aftercare works, and you can read it here: Chemical Peels in Columbus, OH. This page is the short Westerville version, from me.
I use peels most for breakouts and oil control, dullness, uneven tone, rough texture, and fine lines from age and sun. Oily and acne-prone skin is where my work started, and it is still a specialty here, but peels are not only for oily skin. Dry, combination, sensitive, and mature skin can benefit when the peel is chosen for that skin. You can see the treatment itself on the Chemical Peel service page.
A peel is not a treatment you want to follow with a long drive across town. Your skin is fresh after, you will have questions in the first days, and it helps to have your esthetician nearby. That matters more in Westerville, when aftercare days are garden days, trail days, and Uptown errand days. I would rather you check in with me than guess at home about sunscreen or flaking. I see you at the consultation and at every visit after, and I will tell you plainly if a peel is not your right first step. I have been a licensed esthetician for over 15 years.
Every service at Elite Peels starts with a consultation and a plan made for your skin. For a peel, we talk about your skin concerns, what you are using at home (especially retinoids and strong exfoliants), how much sun you get weekly, and what you want to change. Then I cleanse the skin and apply the peel solution. Most people feel tingling or warmth, not pain. Then the solution is neutralized, and I finish with soothing products and sunscreen. You leave knowing what to expect, and what to use and avoid.
A chemical peel at Elite Peels is $140, consultation included. That is the Westerville price, same as anywhere else at the studio, because it is the same studio and the same person. There is no separate Westerville rate and no surprise add-on at the end.
Fall is a good time for a peel in Westerville: the sun is lower, and fresh skin after a peel is sensitive to sun. That timing suits this area, letting you get the reset done after a summer of garden walks and trail time and before the dry indoor months. Expect some flaking for a few days after, and plan around it. No big event the next day, no picking, no scrubbing. Sunscreen every day, gentle products at first, and pause retinoids and strong exfoliants until I tell you to restart them. Tell me at your consultation if you use prescription retinoids, have had a recent sunburn, or have an active cold sore or skin infection. Any of those can change the timing or peel I choose.
Does it hurt? Most people describe tingling or warmth, not pain. If you are nervous, tell me, and I will talk you through each step.
How often should I get one? It depends on your skin and your goals. Some come for a series, some come seasonally, often after summer. We set the plan at your consultation, and I will not sell you more than your skin needs.
